Paris to Bordeaux

From the tree lined boulevards of Paris to world-class châteaux in Bordeaux, embark on a wonderful journey embracing fine wines, gastronomic delights and luxury boutique hotels.

Bon voyage!

Bordeaux City

Bordeaux, the world capital of wine, has many other delights to share besides, and is proud of its outstanding architectural heritage. The town’s centre, around the Port de la Lune, and its 18th century architecture – emblematic of the city’s past as a great merchant and naval centre – has been renovated and restored, returning it to its former splendour.

Médoc

Visit Château d’Arsac, a vineyard in the Margaux commune of the Médoc wine-growing region of Bordeaux, and participate in ‘The Wine Sign’, a test to determine the particulars of your own individual palate.

Saint-Émilion

Saint-Émilion's history stretches back to prehistoric times and the commune is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dotted with fascinating Romanesque churches and ruins stretching all along steep and narrow streets. The Romans planted vineyards in what was to become Saint-Émilion as early as the 2nd century. In the 4th century, the Latin poet Ausonius lauded the fruit of the bountiful vines.

Arcachon

Located in the southwest of Bordeaux in the Landes forest, Arcachon has a fine beach and a mild climate said to be favourable to those suffering from pulmonary complaints. At its southern entrance, from the Atlantic Ocean, Arcachon Bay is crowned by Europe's largest sand dune, the Dune du Pyla.
